This place saved my life. Heather nd lisa i love u more than words can express... from the medical staff to the kitchen staff to the RA's everybody is so helpful and I really want to say thank you to everybody involved because without you guys my experience wouldn't be the way it was. For the rest of my life I will take with me I am not what I've done I am what I've overcome love you guys thank you so much. Also the atmosphere is unlike any where I've ever been. This place is unlike any other. Amazing staff you get to know and love, a chef who makes amazing food!! And CHEESECAKE!! The people are always so happy - many around me said this rehab is the first that made them actually want to take being sober seriously. This is my first (and hopefully only) rehab, so that was good to hear. There's a huge art room I hated leaving, a pool room, gym and yoga, massage therapy and bio-sound. I would trust this place with any of my friends and family! I cannot wait to come back for Alumni :)

I was a patient at SLR. It was the best decision I have ever made. This place provides the best care and compassion for addicts with and without dual diagnosis. I felt safe, valued, and loved everyday. The staff loved me until I could learn to start loving myself. They showed me that glimmer of hope and gave me tools to utilize that would help keep me sober. I was a very difficult patient... but they never gave up on me. I owe that place my life and I'm proud to say I opened my heart to be saved by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...in whom I put all faith and trust. The spiritual director is amazing and is truly a person of faith that will always have positive uplifting things to say even on days you can't find a reason to keep going. The aftercare is especially wonderful as well. The recovery coaches keep in contact with the alumni of SLR and plan events to get together and stay connected. I have so much love in my heart for SLR.

I was a client at this facility in November of 2017. I received top notch care that was both compassionate and professional. Dr. Ogburn and his medical team are highly skilled and knowledgeable. Even the kitchen staff is amazing and the food is delicious! Serenity Light Recovery provides it all: from detox to chemical dependency education, individual and group counseling, spiritual development, physical health programs, and so much more. I am considered dual-diagnosis (a mental illness combined with an addiction) and they treated my co-occurring disorders. They also have you work with an alumni/recovery coach for up to a year after you leave. They are truly dedicated to your sobriety. Some things to keep in mind: 1) make sure that your insurance will cover the treatment costs and 2) be willing to follow a "12-step" program. The website is misleading in that most of your sessions will utilize the 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous instead of the other recovery plans listed.

This place helped me save my own life. The moment I showed a drop of willingness to take whatever suggestion and resource I was offered, they went above and beyond for me. Even on my worst day there, they loved me anyway. This place definitely carries the message of recovery to the best of their human ability. I'm honored to be part of their Alumni program.
